What’s Next After World of Warcraft?

•February 8, 2007 • 1 Comment

With the success of World of Warcraft by Blizzard some of us are wondering if there will be another online game to be developed by Blizzard. Fortunately, the answer is yes. Before you start to be excited of a possible Starcraft game or Diablo game, I am telling you now that it is a possibility but it might not happen. One thing is sure though, it won’t be another World of Warcraft game.

Iztik Ben Bassat, the vice president of development, revealed that Blizzard will develop another online game. He said, the project will be revealed years from now but definitely not more than a decade. The only hint he gave the British film magazine empire is that it will be [I Quote] “something innovative and new that really brings entertainment to another level.”

Did I mention there will be a World of Warcraft movie too? No details yet but he did say that Blizzard is “pushing” for it.
